The Endorfy Fortis 5 Dual Fan is one of those coolers that impresses from the first plugging in. It silently takes care of the low temperature of your CPU and fits into most cases. It is 15.9 cm high, so it will even fit into those small cases that are usually difficult to fit components into.

The award-winning fans with the optional semi-passive mode Fluctus 140 PWM and Fluctus 120 PWM are responsible for the airflow. Their blades have been profiled to sweep the densely stacked heatsink fins as precisely as possible. Such a set-up works in a push-pull system, which further reduces the temperature of the CPU. We have a theory that if it were to be enlarged sufficiently, the next ice age would be unleashed on the world It handles temperature reduction in an exemplary manner.

To top it off, each blade is finished with a wavy edge to reduce the audibility of annoying noise (psychoacoustic optimisation of the Fluctus fans is patent pending).

As cold as a fridge

The Fortis 5 Dual Fan is the hardware we tested under the most demanding conditions.

First, we turned on a graphics programme to render some 3D designs. We let it run in the background while, in the second instance, we fired up one of the latest games with maximum graphics settings. For dessert, we uploaded some large videos to the web. After a couple of hours of such play, the computer was still running without a stutter.

Put simply, the Fortis 5 Dual Fan will make your CPU into a portable fridge (but we wouldn't keep food on it).

This is thanks to the asymmetrical heatsink with dense fins, which collects heat energy from the CPU well. Its base is in contact with the surface of the CPU and its six heat pipes improve the collection of high temperatures. The Fortis 5 Dual Fan is also optimised for unidirectional airflow, ensuring the best cooling performance.
