The Unitek S1225A aluminium enclosure with USB 3.2 Gen2 interface allows the installation of any M.2 type PCIe (NVMe) or SATA (AHCI) memory.

It is perfectly compatible with drives with heatsinks up to 12.5 mm in height. The slot fits M key and M+B key drives with different lengths: 42 mm, 60 mm or 80 mm.

At lightning speed

The enclosure provides data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps. It works with UASP (USB Attached SCSI Protocol) technology and the TRIM (ATA Data Set Management Command) instruction.

With UASP, the USB device can establish a command sequence and execute several commands simultaneously. This increases read transfers as well as write transfers by approximately 30 per cent compared to traditional USB devices.

TRIM tells the SSD which data blocks are unused and allows them to be refilled with data. This improves performance and extends the life of the drive.

Robust armour

The case will not only protect the drive from external damage, but also conducts heat brilliantly due to the high quality of the material, the included thermal pads as well as the clever design with aluminium fins. Its compact size means that it can even be stored in a small ladies' handbag. An Autosleep mode is also included to conserve battery power, and starts after 30 minutes of inactivity. The drive slot is ejectable and includes a safety catch to prevent accidental ejection. The included flat cable is robust and will last for years.
