REBELTEC H1065 GaN3 65W charger

The Rebeltec H1065 GaN charger is a type of charger that uses gallium nitride semiconductor elements - hence its name. GaN is an abbreviation of the chemical names gallium (Ga) and nitride (N). And this chemical compound is used as a semiconductor material in GaN chargers - as opposed to traditional silicon (Si). GaN technology makes chargers more compact, lighter and more efficient compared to traditional silicon ones. Gallium nitride is therefore used to improve performance, efficiency and operating temperature. Chargers with GaN technology allow for faster charging of smartphones, tablets, laptops and even electric cars.

Power Delivery 3.0 - a new standard for chargers. Thanks to the new variant of the USB Type-C port, it is now possible to transmit higher power via the most popular input standard on the market. The Rebeltec H1045 charger is equipped with Quick Charge (QC) technology - in Polish it simply means fast charging. It is based on increasing the voltage flowing to the device being charged to quickly raise the battery level to approximately 50-60%, and then slow it down. This second charging phase is intended to ensure the safety of the battery and the user and to avoid a potentially dangerous failure resulting from damaged cells or overheating of the phone.

The REBELTEC H1045 charger is equipped with the PPS protocol - an abbreviation for Programmable Power Supply - a standard within USB Power Delivery (USB PD), which allows dynamic adjustment of the voltage and current supplied to the charged device. Traditional chargers often offer constant voltages (e.g. 5V, 9V, 12V, 20V). PPS, on the other hand, allows you to adjust the voltage in small steps, usually every 20mV, in the range from 3.3V to 21V. Almost every smartphone manufacturer has its own fast charging system dedicated to its own devices. That is why there is a need for some kind of unification of fast charging technology. In response, the PPS - Programmable Power Supply protocol was created. This is a charging scheme that can be used to charge a variety of devices regardless of brand. It introduced additional communication between the device and the charger during the entire charging process. This allows you to correct the value of not only the charging current, but also the voltage. Thanks to this, the battery is even more protected against too much energy and overheating.

The charger comes with a 2m long USB-C to USB-C cable with a maximum bandwidth of 5A (100W). If you want to charge your Apple devices, just change the cable to USB-C to Lightning.
