Akasa USB 3.0 to USB 3.1 20-pin adapter
This adapter enables the connection of a front panel USB Type-C port to a motherboard's internal 20-pin USB 3.0 header. It is particularly suitable for USB 3.1-compatible I/O front panels when these only have external ports that previously had to be connected to the external rear panel of the motherboard.
Since those external ports would then not be available for other purposes, internal connection is generally recommended, which is now also possible (please observe motherboard specifications!). To use, the adapter is connected to the 20-pin USB 3.0 header and the cables from the I/O panel are attached accordingly. The adapter supports transfer rates of up to 5 Gbit/s, as specified by the USB 3.1 standard.
