Use this adapter when you have problems with incompatibilities between IR remote controls; such problems tend to occur now and then in installations with HDMI splitters and -switches. The adapter does not pass on the CEC signal further. In principle, you only need to use this adapter upstream of the incompatible devices. However, several adapters installed upstream of a number of devices can be used.
