Streacom is a master of precision-engineered PC cases made from high-quality solid aluminum, but with the BC1 V2 Benchtable the manufacturer is breaking new ground. Together with Hwbot and OverClocking-TV, Streacom has succeeded in bringing notable figures from the international overclocking community on board. As part of the "Open Benchtable Project," Streacom has created another cleverly designed, portable, and open benchmark table.
The word 'open' applies in two ways here, because the Streacom BC1 V2 not only lets the hardware run in open air, but also enables third-party providers and 3D-printing hobbyists to develop and sell official accessories and extensions for the benchtable. The highlight of the BC1: the benchtable can be disassembled at any time like a camping table and thus converted into a flat transport form. This makes it child's play to quickly and easily set up and dismantle a complete test platform again, even vertically - a dream for overclockers!
Compact dimensions and extremely low weight for maximum mobility
The BC1 V2 also becomes the perfect accessory for overclockers, enthusiasts, and specialists who need an easy-to-transport benchtable while traveling, thanks to Streacom's typical choice of lightweight aluminum for the base plate material. The resulting weight of just 1.75 kilograms speaks for itself. Its design for mobile use is also evident from the practical carrying handle, which allows the benchtable to be transported like a suitcase.
The manageable dimensions of 27 centimeters by 36 centimeters with a height of 11 centimeters when assembled and just 8 millimeters in transport mode also contribute to this. However, the lightweight construction is also relatively delicate and is therefore subject to various weight restrictions. Power supplies may weigh no more than 10 kilograms and radiators a maximum of 7 kilograms per bracket, while the permitted total weight of all installed components is 25 kilograms.
High versatility with extensive hardware support
With support for E-ATX, XL-ATX, ATX, Micro-ATX, Mini-ITX, and even Mini-ATX motherboards, the owner of the table has a veritable potpourri of possible motherboard form factors to choose from. The standoffs are simply inserted into the platform without threads, which improves durability when components are changed frequently. The possibilities for other hardware are virtually unlimited, as there are no length restrictions for either the CPU cooler or the graphics card(s). Only the number of included PCI brackets limits the number of graphics or expansion cards that can be mounted to four. There is now a length restriction of 320 mm for ATX power supplies. However, SFX/SFX-L format power supplies are now also supported.
Two 140/120 mm fans can be mounted on each side, left and right, on adjustable brackets, which can alternatively make way for radiators up to 360 mm. The stands, which are also stored in the base plate alongside thumbscrews, standoffs, and brackets, have large rubberized feet that ensure a secure footing on common surfaces. In the assembled state, the power-supplying PSU is simply placed underneath the benchtable and can be attached to the base plate in the desired orientation. Two 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch hard drives or SSDs can be discreetly mounted on the underside opposite the PSU.
Tool-free assembly for maximum convenience
All components can conveniently be installed completely tool-free with bare hands thanks to thumbscrews and push-pin standoffs for the motherboard, so a screwdriver is not necessary. For optimal stability, all screws, standoffs, and brackets are made of sturdy steel. All protruding parts can be securely stored in the aluminum plate for transport, making the entire benchtable extremely easy to move to another location.
