The manufacturer Kolink, now renowned for its innovative and high-performance cases, presents the feature-rich Refine Midi-Tower—a gaming case that offers ample space for powerful hardware behind its stylish exterior. A robust gaming setup based on an E-ATX motherboard can be admired through a tempered glass side door, while a PSU shroud conceals unsightly cables. The front panel, made of brushed aluminum in dark gray, underlines the elegant look, further accented by a side-mounted digitally addressable RGB LED strip. The lighting can be controlled via a switch on the I/O panel. Alternatively, the strip can also be connected directly to a motherboard and controlled from there. Effective ventilation is ensured by a fine mesh with an integrated dust filter on the top. A pre-installed 120 mm fan provides adequate airflow.

Kolink Refine: Plenty of room for powerful gaming hardware
Although its external dimensions are those of a midi-tower, the Refine’s sophisticated design allows it to accommodate a motherboard up to E-ATX format. There is also ample space for graphics cards, with up to 380 mm available to the front. At 160 mm, there’s plenty of room for standard CPU coolers as well. A shroud hides the power supply and HDD cage, which can house either two 3.5-inch or two 2.5-inch drives. Two additional 2.5-inch SSDs can be mounted at the back of the motherboard tray.
If you prefer air cooling, there are enough slots for 120 mm fans. The front can accommodate two 120 mm or two 140 mm fans. The top can also hold either two 120 mm or two 140 mm fans. The top is equipped with mesh to allow nearly unrestricted airflow. A dust filter ensures that the hardware inside doesn’t have to be cleaned constantly. At the back, a powerful 120 mm fan is already installed. There’s room for a 280 mm radiator at the front, while the pre-installed fan at the rear can be replaced with a 120 mm radiator.
Tempered glass and RGB LEDs present hardware skillfully
Well-placed grommets and clips enable sophisticated cable management. The spacious interior can be admired through a tempered glass side door, which can also be removed on its hinges. There is a strip with digitally addressable RGB LEDs on the side of the brushed aluminum front. The lighting effects are controlled via a switch on the I/O panel—alternatively, the strip can be connected directly to the motherboard and controlled there. In this case, the RGB switch on the I/O panel can be used as a reset button. Alongside the RGB/reset switch, you’ll find a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type C port (10 Gbit/s), a USB 3.0 port (5 Gbit/s), two USB 2.0 ports, 3.5 mm jacks for headphones and microphone, and finally, power and HDD LEDs.
