The be quiet! Light Base 500 LX midi-tower offers the perfect balance between size and functionality. With ample space for high-performance hardware and efficient cooling, it’s the ideal choice for both gaming and workstation builds.
Extensive cooling options with fans and radiators
To keep your hardware cool under any workload, the be quiet! Light Base 500 LX can support up to ten fans at once. The top panel supports three 120 mm or two 140 mm fans. The side panel allows for three 120 mm fans, while the bottom supports three 120 mm fans as well. The rear panel can accommodate a 120 mm or 140 mm fan.
Right out of the box, you get four pre-installed 120 mm fans—three Light Wings LX Reverse on the side and one Light Wings LX at the rear. All fans support customizable RGB lighting.
An AiO water cooling system can also be easily installed if you prefer to cool your high-performance hardware with water cooling. There is space for radiators on the top (up to 360 mm), on the side (up to 240 mm), and at the rear (up to 120 mm).
Installing your hardware
The case provides enough room for high-performance gaming hardware. It supports graphics cards up to 400 mm in length and motherboards up to ATX format. You can also install motherboards with a back-connect design—in this case, you should swap out the power supply and a drive bracket to make use of all drives. The CPU cooler should not exceed a height of 185 mm. For storing programs and games, you can install up to three drives in total.
