Thermal Grizzly Intel1851 CPU Contact Frame V1 | Optimized contact pressure

The Intel 1851 CPU Contact Frame V1 is the version of the well-known mounting aid for Intel motherboards that has been adapted to the LGA1851 socket from Intel. By using the Intel 1851 CPU Contact Frame V1, the concave curvature of the Integrated Heatspreader (IHS) of the CPU caused by the standard Integrated Loading Mechanism (ILM) is avoided. This gives CPU coolers better contact with the IHS, which improves cooling performance.

  • lowering CPU temperatures
  • Easy to assemble
  • Anodized aluminum

Installing the contact frame is very easy and only requires a few steps. First, the integrated loading mechanism (ILM) of the mainboard must be removed. Depending on the CPU cooler and CPU used, the temperatures of the processor can be noticeably reduced. When switching from the Reduced-Load ILM (RL-ILM), which is used on some mainboards for the socket 1851, temperatures of up to 4°C lower can be expected, and when switching from the normal ILM, temperatures of up to 6°C lower.

The Intel 1851 CPU Contact Frame V1 is compatible with processors from the "Intel Core Ultra 200" series for the LGA1851 socket. The frame is also compatible with CPUs whose integrated heat spreader (IHS) has not been ground down by more than 0.2 millimeters. When installing, make sure that there are no electronic components under the frame, especially with motherboards in the mini-ITX form factor.

Removing the Integrated Loading Mechanism (ILM) of the motherboard may void the motherboard manufacturer's warranty!
