Noctua's CPU coolers have repeatedly impressed in various reviews with their excellent cooling performance, so it's no surprise that Noctua continues with proven approaches in the new NH-D15.
The craftsmanship of the new model seamlessly continues the outstanding quality of its predecessors. The connections between heatpipes and fins are soldered, and the plates at the edges are additionally reinforced. Thanks to its wider heatpipe layout and two NF-A15 140mm premium fans with PWM support for fully automatic speed control, the NH-D15 is able to further improve on the highly acclaimed efficiency of the NH-D14. With these features, Noctua achieves particularly high stability and durability.
The NH-D15 comes equipped with two 140mm fans, which together achieve very high airflow. In combination with the dual heatsink towers, this allows the NH-D15 to deliver extreme and virtually unmatched cooling performance. Additionally, each fan comes with a low-noise adapter that reduces the speed from 1,500 to 1,200 RPM and significantly lowers noise levels. The fans are connected via 4-pin PWM.
To effectively handle the processor's heat, Noctua has equipped the NH-D15 with six heatpipes that quickly transfer heat away from the source. The cooling fins have been expanded from 140 to 150 mm, and the distance between the heatpipes has been increased.
The proven SecuFirm2 mounting system ensures optimal contact pressure and maximum security by reliably fastening the cooler to the mounting plate on the back of the motherboard. It supports Intel sockets 1851, 1150, 1151, 1155, 1156, 1200, and 1700, as well as AMD sockets AM5 and AM4. The package also includes NT-H1 thermal paste.
