As a 12 cm model, the NH-U12A is a powerful single-tower CPU cooler in Noctua’s classic U-series, which has received more than 6,000 awards and recommendations from international specialist publications. Thanks to its larger design, seven heatpipes, and two NF-A12x25 120 mm fans with PWM support for fully automatic speed control, the NH-U12A surpasses all previous U-series coolers in silent cooling performance.
At the same time, the 58 mm slim design ensures high compatibility with large memory modules. The high-quality package is completed by the proven SecuFirm2 mounting system, Noctua’s renowned NT-H1 thermal compound, and a 6-year manufacturer’s warranty. Premium fans ensure superior cooling
With a height of 158 mm, the NH-U12A fits easily into most modern high-end tower cases. Thanks to its 125 mm width (including fans and fan clips), the cooler offers better compatibility with NVLink, SLI, and CrossFire systems than models over 150 mm wide or those using wider fans. The asymmetrical design means the NH-U12A does not interfere with RAM modules or protrude over the first PCIe slot.
The NF-A12x25 is a quiet 120 mm premium fan with SSO2 bearing (Self-Stabilising Oil-Pressure) and AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frame, which, thanks to advanced aerodynamic features such as Flow Acceleration Channels, achieves even better silent performance than the highly awarded NF-P12. The fan supports PWM for convenient, fully automatic speed control via the motherboard.
Greater performance in push/pull configuration
Cooling efficiency is further increased by using two NF-A12x25 fans in a push/pull setup. The NH-U12A is supplied with special fan clips and a set of anti-vibration pads. These allow the rear fan to be offset by 5 mm, providing improved acoustics in dual-fan operation. The included Low-Noise Adapter (L.N.A.) enables even quieter operation by reducing fan speed.
