With a height of 158 mm, the NH-U12S chromax.black is compact enough to fit easily into most modern tower cases. Thanks to a width of 125 mm (including fan and fan clips), the cooler does not extend over the top PCIe slot on standard ATX or Micro-ATX motherboards, ensuring optimal compatibility with SLI and CrossFire systems.
The NF-F12 PWM 120 mm fan delivers excellent cooling performance and impressively quiet operation, with 93.4 m³/h airflow at only 22.4 dB(A). It supports PWM for convenient, fully automatic speed control via the motherboard. Additionally, using the included Low-Noise Adapter, the maximum speed can be reduced from 1,500 to 1,200 RPM for even quieter operation.
For users who want even better performance with a second fan in push/pull operation, the NH-U12S chromax.black comes with special fan clips and an extra set of anti-vibration pads. These allow the rear fan to be offset by 5 mm, achieving improved acoustics in the optional dual-fan configuration.
