The PWM version is equipped with Noctua’s own NE-FD1 IC for fully automatic speed control, and comes with a Low-Noise Adapter, which reduces the maximum speed from 1,500 to 1,200 RPM. Noctua's NF-P14 has become a standard solution for PC enthusiasts needing premium-quality 140 mm fans. With extensive aerodynamic improvements, the NF-A14 achieves even higher static pressure and delivers an improved performance-to-noise ratio compared to its renowned predecessor.
With its square frame and 140 mm mounting holes (124.5 mm hole spacing), the NF-A14 is an ideal premium upgrade for standard 140 mm case fans. It is also perfectly suited for use on 140 mm water cooling radiators, where the square shape ensures complete coverage of the cooling fins and thus guarantees optimal pressure performance.
The NF-A14’s impeller features Flow Acceleration Channels on the intake side. By accelerating airflow in the critical outer regions of the fan blades, suction-side vortex separation is reduced, resulting in higher efficiency and lower turbulence-related noise emissions.
Noctua’s AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) frames feature integrated vibration dampers, a stepped inlet design, and inner surface microstructures, enabling even better performance/noise efficiency.
The extra-soft silicone anti-vibration pads reduce the transmission of even the smallest vibrations and are compatible with all standard screws, mainstream mounting systems, or fan clips used on CPU coolers.
To ensure the highest level of manufacturing precision, minimal tolerances, and outstanding long-term stability, the NF-A14 uses a CNC-milled brass bearing shell. The NF-A14 is equipped with the improved second generation of Noctua's proven SSO bearing system. In SSO2, the rear magnet is placed closer to the fan axis to provide even better stabilization, resulting in improved precision and durability.
