Support for the NVM Express protocol for PCIe SSDs
Additionally, this Corsair Force Series MP600 Pro XT also supports the NVM Express protocol (NVMe), which was developed specifically for modern PCI Express SSDs. This protocol replaces the older AHCI protocol, which was designed before the widespread adoption of SSDs and is not optimized for highly parallel storage access. NVMe results in significantly lower latencies, as well as multiple and deeper command queues, which translates to significantly higher performance in nonlinear transfers such as 4K read/write.
