EK Water Blocks EK-FC1080 GTX G1 Backplate - Black is a CNC-machined retention backplate made from anodised aluminium and designed for the matching EK-FC water blocks. It covers the entire length of the graphics card PCB, acts as an aesthetic upgrade, and additionally provides passive cooling for the backside of the voltage regulation module (VRM) and the GPU core.
The part is CNC-machined from anodised aluminium, which is more rigid and more scratch-resistant than painted plastic.

- Passive additional cooling: Thermal pads transfer heat from the back of the PCB to the surrounding air.
