More Performance!
In developing the Eisblock Aurora GPX-A 6800(XT) GPU block, the goal was to further enhance performance. The first step was bringing the cooler closer to each component by reducing the thickness of the thermal pads to just 1 mm. The thickness of the nickel-plated copper block was also reduced—from 7 mm to only 5.5 mm. Additionally, the internal water flow was optimized, allowing all key components such as voltage regulators and memory to be cooled much more effectively. These improvements result in a substantial increase in cooling performance.
New Design!
The Eisblock Aurora GPX-A 6800(XT) cooler places greater emphasis on lighting than previous models. Addressable digital RGB LEDs are integrated directly into the cooling block and extend across its entire length, creating full illumination of the cooling block. No corner or edge is left in the dark thanks to the aRGB LEDs. The new design features more angular lines, with all edges beveled. These bevels improve light diffusion within the waterblock due to reflections and create various contours that give the Aurora GPX-A 6800(XT) Eisblock a unique identity.
Copper or Aluminum?
Alphacool uses copper exclusively in its water coolers. For the Aurora GPX-A 6800(XT) Eisblock, the copper is nickel-plated. Compared to earlier models, Alphacool has enhanced the nickel plating, greatly increasing acid resistance and thus minimizing the risk of nickel flaking. Why does Alphacool choose copper over aluminum? Quite simply, copper has nearly twice the thermal conductivity of aluminum, making it a clearly superior material for water cooling.
Anything Else New?
The Eisblock Aurora GPX-A 6800(XT) also features new patented stop fittings that sit flush with the terminal’s surface. The Alphacool logo is now positioned at the corner on the top, where it is fully illuminated. The front of the terminal displays the corresponding names of compatible graphics card types, which are also fully lit by digital LEDs. IN and OUT ports are now marked by small triangles, which are easily recognizable and perfectly match the overall aesthetics of the graphics card waterblock.
The Alphacool Aurora GPX-A 6800(XT) Acryl is a complete redesign of previous Alphacool GPU waterblocks. No technical compromises were made, drawing on all of Alphacool’s technical expertise during its development and implementation.
