EK Water Blocks EK-Quantum Vector Strix RTX 3080/3090 Active Backplate D-RGB - Acrylic is an active backplate that does not just cover the back of the graphics card but is connected directly to the custom loop. Together with the matching EK-Quantum Vector water block, it actively cools the back of the PCB and the components located there.
The cold plate is CNC-machined from nickel-plated electrolytic copper, while the top is made of transparent acrylic. The dimensions are - 281x154x33 mm. Lighting is provided by 8 addressable D-RGB LEDs, connected via a 500 mm cable.
Key Features
- Addressable D-RGB lighting: Connects to a 3-pin 5V D-RGB header and works with the common motherboard sync technologies.
- Nickel-plated surface: The nickel plating protects the base material and provides an even, long-lasting appearance.
- Transparent acrylic top: The clear top reveals the coolant inside and showcases the lighting.
- EPDM gasket: The internal EPDM gasket grips the tube and keeps the connection permanently sealed.
- Check compatibility: EK recommends checking the exact fit for your graphics card in the EK Cooling Configurator beforehand.
- Active liquid cooling of the backside: The backplate is plumbed into the loop and cools the back of the PCB with coolant.
- Used only together with the water block: The active backplate is exclusively used in combination with the corresponding GPU water block.

Important notes
- Do not run together with aluminium components in the same loop – mixing different metals causes corrosion.
- Use coolants containing corrosion, scale and biological inhibitors to avoid damaging the nickel-plated surfaces.
- Given the variety on the market, EK guarantees fit only for fittings from its own range.
