AXAGON USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 Metal Enclosure for M.2 NVMe & SATA SSD
The universal external AXAGON EEM2-SB2 RAW enclosure with a USB 3.2 Gen2 interface is designed for M.2 NVMe or SATA SSD drives. The double-sided USB-C connector on the enclosure ensures reliable connectivity. The package includes both a USB-C to USB-C cable for connecting the enclosure to a computer and a USB-C to USB-A adapter. You can connect the enclosure to any available USB port on your notebook.
The second generation of the fast USB interface lets you take advantage of the speed of modern M.2 SSD drives.
The transfer rate is up to 10Gb/s thanks to the fast USB 3.2 Gen 2 interface. This external M.2 enclosure also supports other modern features such as UASP, TRIM, and allows reading S.M.A.R.T. information to monitor the condition of the disk. Standby is supported when idle.
A unique feature, thanks to the new chipset, is the ability to use both M.2 NVMe and SATA drives. You don't have to worry about which type of M.2 drive you install. An advantage is the support for three different SSD card lengths: 42, 60, and 80 mm. M.2 cards can be single-sided or double-sided, and there is no limit on the capacity of the inserted SSD.
The tool-free enclosure opening makes installing and removing the M.2 SSD easy. Drive replacement is quick and convenient, expanding the enclosure's use—such as for data migration, testing, and more.
The outer metal housing features a black, elegant brushed finish that prevents unwanted fingerprints. The enclosure's rounded design ensures comfortable handling.
The aluminum enclosure, cooling holes, and the thermal conductive pad provide excellent cooling for the installed M.2 SSD, extending its lifespan and preventing the disk from slowing down due to "Thermal Throttling".
By inserting an M.2 SSD, you'll easily create a fast, compact external disk. The enclosure can be used with computers and notebooks, as well as with smartphones and tablets.
