Ducky Mecha Pro SF: Mechanical gaming keyboard in a 65% layout
The Ducky Mecha Pro SF is a mechanical gaming keyboard that impresses with a very elegant exterior and a blend of comprehensive features and proven design concepts. Trusted Cherry MX switches are used and paired by Ducky with PBT double-shot keycaps. This feature set is housed in a sleek case without a numpad, complemented by a very slim, stylish frame and finished with RGB LED lighting.
By omitting the numpad, function keys, and some navigation keys, it takes up even less space on your desk than a standard TKL keyboard, but is less suited for office use. To save space, the arrow keys are also set inwards.
Mechanical switches in detail: Cherry MX Red (US)
This version features Cherry MX Red switches. These key switches have a linear switching characteristic and are distinguished by low resistance. This makes them an excellent choice for rapid double or multiple clicks in action games and first-person shooters, where a tactile actuation point isn't necessarily required for fast keystrokes. In addition, they are very quiet.
The highly popular mechanical Cherry MX switches are extremely durable and, depending on the switch type used, perfectly suited for various types of gamers. Thanks to USB N-key rollover, any number of keys can be pressed simultaneously without ghosting or other delays. The 1,000 Hz polling rate of the USB connection also helps, sending data from the keyboard to the PC every millisecond.
The keyboard has a USB Type-C socket, into which the detachable cable is plugged; the other end features the typical Type-A connector. The two rubberized feet made from a zinc alloy on the underside are conveniently adjustable to three different heights.
Design, Looks & Materials
The Ducky Mecha Pro SF features a metal case made from an aluminum-zinc alloy with a slim outer frame. The multicolor keycaps are made from polybutylene terephthalate (PBT), using the double-shot process, and are significantly more durable than keys made from ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene). The red key label is laser-engraved.
Stylish RGB LED backlighting
The highlight of the Ducky Mecha Pro SF is undoubtedly the sleek RGB LED lighting, which can be customized according to user preferences. It offers a total of ten different lighting modes, each more unique than the last. A special feature of Ducky keyboards is the completely software-free configuration of the RGB lighting. All settings and adjustments can be made using various key combinations.
