Glorious has released a must-have for keyboard enthusiasts: the GMMK 2 keyboard. This pre-built model supports 5-pin hot swapping, making it the perfect foundation for individual customization. Equipped with Glorious Fox switches, the Glorious GMMK 2 Pre-Built offers you a classic, linear typing experience.
Friction resistance of the switches is minimal thanks to the pre-applied lubricant. The tactile feedback ensures smooth typing and flawless acoustics. Thanks to USB N-key rollover, any number of keys can be pressed simultaneously without ghosting or other delays.
Assembled for you, ready for instant action
The keycaps are made of doubleshot ABS, making them especially durable and resistant to wear. Beneath the keys are Glorious Fox Linear Switches, which offer a balanced ratio of speed and control, along with the satisfying typing sound typical of mechanical keyboards.
The elegant aesthetics of the top frame made of brushed, anodized aluminum are enhanced by per-key RGB lighting and side lighting. You can choose from 18 presets and effects. Alternatively, you can customize the lighting and many other functions to suit your needs via Glorious CORE software.
The hot-swappable GMMK 2 is compatible with all common switches thanks to its 5-pin sockets. The integrated plate keeps the switches firmly in place, so no soldering is required and no dust can get onto the circuit board. Both the switches and the keycaps can be easily removed from the frame using the included tools. This allows the keyboard to be fitted with a mix of switches that matches your needs and feedback preferences.
Robust and compact
The Glorious GMMK 2 features an aluminum top frame with a polymer underside, creating a durable and sturdy base. Overall, this provides balanced weight that, together with the rubberized feet, ensures stability even in the heat of battle. The aluminum is CNC-milled and has a finely anodized surface. The soft brushed finish creates an elegant look, while the classic black color completes the appearance.
This is the Compact model of the Glorious GMMK 2. Thanks to the clever hybrid design, a complete key set fits into a compact frame that is only slightly larger than a mini keyboard without arrow keys. This saves space on your desk without requiring you to give up keys. In addition, the compact size is more ergonomic and comfortable during longer typing and gaming sessions, since your hands have less distance to travel. For improved comfort, the frame is angled at 7° to reduce strain on the wrists. In addition, this angle can be increased to 14° using the feet.
Pre-installed keycaps
The Glorious GMMK 2 has doubleshot ABS keycaps to increase durability: two layers of ABS plastic are fused together to create a seamless surface that withstands general wear and tear. This prevents signs of wear and ensures a long-lasting product. The tops of the keycaps are transparent, allowing the RGB lighting to stand out particularly well. Additional legends are printed on the front sides to indicate extra functions on these keys.
Arranged in the ES-ISO layout, the Compact model has 67 keys that use the standard OEM profile. This profile provides an almost flat top surface, with the keys all being fairly level while still having a cylindrical curve to match the contour of your fingers. This maximizes grip and ensures a natural typing position.
Finally, the Glorious GMMK 2 comes with a special ESC key featuring the Glorious logo. This bright yellow keycap is a striking addition to the keyboard and can be easily installed thanks to hot-swapping technology and the included keycap puller.
RGB lighting and control software
The appearance of the Glorious GMMK 2 is rounded out by both the impressive key lighting and the diffuse side lighting. Each key has its own LEDs and is illuminated individually. The side-mounted LEDs light up your desk, creating a soft, atmospheric aesthetic - 18 presets leave little to be desired. Alternatively, true RGB enthusiasts can also customize the lighting via Glorious CORE software.
But the Glorious CORE software is not limited to color effects. The software can also be used to assign key combinations and macros to the keys, expanding the functionality of the Glorious GMMK 2 and adapting it to your own needs.
Although the keyboard was designed for use with Glorious CORE, it can also be customized with the open-source QMK firmware. This allows you to customize and personalize your keyboard in even greater detail - there are almost no limits to your imagination.
