Glorious has released a must-have for keyboard enthusiasts: the GMMK 2 keyboard. This pre-built model supports 5-pin hot swapping, making it the perfect foundation for custom modifications. Equipped with Glorious Fox switches, the Glorious GMMK 2 Pre-Built gives you a classic linear typing experience. The friction of the switches is minimal thanks to pre-applied lubricant. The tactile feedback ensures smooth typing and flawless acoustics. Thanks to USB N-Key rollover, any number of keys can be pressed simultaneously without ghosting or other delays.
Assembled for you, ready for immediate action
The keycaps are made from double-shot ABS, making them particularly durable and resistant to wear. Under the keys are Glorious's Fox linear switches, which offer a balanced ratio between speed and control, along with the satisfying and typical typing sound of mechanical keyboards. The elegant aesthetic of the brushed, anodized aluminum top frame is highlighted by per-key RGB lighting and side LEDs. 18 presets and effects are available for you. Alternatively, lighting and many other features can be customized to your needs via the Glorious CORE software.
The hot-swappable GMMK 2 is compatible with all standard switches thanks to its 5-pin sockets. The integrated plate securely holds the switches in place, so no soldering is required and dust cannot reach the PCB. Both switches and keycaps can easily be removed from the frame with the included tools. This allows you to equip the keyboard with a mix of switches that matches your preferences and feedback needs.
Robust and compact
The Glorious GMMK 2 features an aluminum top plate with a polymer base, forming a sturdy and durable foundation. This results in a balanced weight that, in combination with rubberized feet, ensures stability even during intense gaming. The aluminum is CNC milled and has a finely anodized surface. The soft brushed look creates an elegant appearance, while the classic white color scheme completes the design.
This is the compact model of the Glorious GMMK 2. The clever hybrid design fits a full set of keys in a compact frame that is only slightly larger than a mini keyboard without arrow keys. This means you save desk space without sacrificing keys. Additionally, the compact size is more ergonomic and comfortable for extended writing or gaming sessions, as your hands have to travel less. For improved comfort, the frame is tilted at an angle of 7° to protect your wrists; this angle can be increased to 14° using the feet.
Pre-installed keycaps
The Glorious GMMK 2 has double-sided printed ABS keycaps for enhanced durability: two layers of ABS plastic are fused together for a seamless surface that withstands general wear and tear. This prevents signs of use and ensures a long-lasting product. The tops of the keycaps are clear, allowing the RGB lighting to shine especially well. Additional legends are printed on the front sides to indicate extra functions on those keys. Arranged in the US ANSI layout, the compact model features 67 keys using the standard OEM profile. This profile results in a nearly flat top, with all keys quite even, but still with a cylindrical curve to fit the contours of your fingers. This maximizes grip and ensures a natural typing position.
Finally, the Glorious GMMK 2 comes with a special ESC key featuring the Glorious logo. This bright yellow keycap is a striking addition to the keyboard and can be easily installed thanks to the hot-swapping technology and the included keycap puller.
RGB lighting and control software
The appearance of the Glorious GMMK 2 is completed by the impressive key illumination as well as the diffused side lighting. Each key features its own LEDs and is individually lit. The side-mounted LEDs light up your desk, creating a soft and atmospheric aesthetic – 18 presets leave almost nothing to be desired. Alternatively, for true RGB enthusiasts, lighting can be customized via the Glorious CORE software.
But it’s not just about color effects. The Glorious CORE software can also be used to assign key combinations and macros to the keys, expanding the functionality of the Glorious GMMK 2 and customizing it to your individual needs. While the keyboard is designed for use with Glorious CORE, it can also be customized using the open-source QMK firmware. This allows even more detailed customization and personalization – your imagination is the only limit.
