As part of the celebration of the 70th Ferrari anniversary, Thrustmaster presents the TS-PC RACER Ferrari 488 Challenge Edition racing wheel. The TS-PC RACER combines advanced technologies to deliver enhanced gaming performance and create a more realistic e-racing experience, featuring a replica of the real Ferrari 488 Challenge car’s steering wheel under official Ferrari license.
Realistic steering wheel designed for competition:
- 9:10 scale replica (32 cm in diameter) of the Ferrari 488 Challenge steering wheel with official Ferrari license
- Front plate and 2 gearshift paddles crafted from black brushed electrolytically oxidized metal
- 15 integrated tachometer LEDs
- 2 directional controllers (d-pads) with button functionality + 2 rotary switches with button functionality + 8 function buttons, totaling 26 programmable functions!
- The wheel is hand-trimmed in imported Italian Alcantara, just like the original Ferrari steering wheel
- Thrustmaster TS-PC Throttle and Thrustmaster Ferrari 488 Challenge feature a metal front plate
- 2 large sequential gearshift paddles mounted on the wheel (14 cm tall, made entirely of metal, with tactile switches rated for over 500,000 activations)
Base with force feedback powered by a high-performance brushless servo motor
The highly dynamic 40-watt motor features ultra-fast response times, strong effects, and incredibly realistic feedback.
The TS-PC RACER base’s brushless motor delivers 40 watts of power feedback and exceptional speed (dynamic torque) from extended curves (STALL mode) to sharp zig-zags (DYNAMIC mode).
Cooling
The Motor Cooling Embedded system (patent pending) preserves the engine’s dynamic characteristics, preventing overheating and ensuring quiet operation. It offers 50% greater dynamics, four times the stall torque, and heat dissipation via a single-phase system.
H.E.A.R.T and F.O.C.
Field Oriented Control: H.E.A.R.T (HallEffect AccuRate Technology) delivers 16-bit resolution (65,536 values), and new F.O.C. (Field Oriented Control) dynamically optimizes the motor’s torque response. The motor dynamically and efficiently meets increasing torque demands, compensating and preventing power loss.
Power Supply
The external TURBO POWER supply delivers constant as well as exceptionally high peak power, giving instant response to dynamic in-game demands. Designed in a toroidal shape for optimal energy efficiency (86% efficiency, only 14% heat output) and a non-ribbed structure. Peak output: 400 watts!
