This item is a joystick specially developed for playing flight simulations. The Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Flight Stick is a highly realistic joystick replica modeled after the flight stick in the U.S. Air Force A-10C combat aircraft. Thanks to its fantastic feel and appearance, every user immediately gets the impression of truly sitting in a fighter jet.
The grip of the flight stick is made of metal and is also compatible with the HOTAS Cougar. A removable metal plate is included for desktop use or cockpit installation.
All buttons and controls have a fantastic tactile response and are consistently made from high-quality materials. In total, the flight stick offers 19 action buttons plus an 8-way POV hat switch. In addition, there are two 8-way hat switches with push button, one 4-way hat switch with push button, a metal dual trigger, as well as two push buttons and two pinkie push buttons.
The flight stick connects via the USB port and weighs just over 3 kilograms. Inside the joystick, 3D magnetic sensors work with near-surgical precision that is said to never diminish. The joystick features a 16-bit resolution, which in this case means that it can detect and process 65,536 x 65,536 different movement position values. A five-coil spring system ensures consistent and linear stick tension without dead zones.
In addition, the flight stick is also compatible with T.A.R.G.E.T. (Thrustmaster Advanced pRogramming Graphical EdiTor). This software enables testing, configuration, and programming of the Thrustmaster joystick. The software can also be operated at different difficulty levels with Basic, Advanced, and Script modes. The latter even allows complete scripts to be programmed, making it possible to fully customize the flight stick.
